About CDK9 RAW in Abbotsford

The makings of CDK9 Raw started before we even brought our first pup home. Coming from a background of CrossFit, both of us have always been passionate about understanding what’s in our food, and how that contributes to strong mental and physical health. It also means we understand how hard it is to eat well in the hustle and bustle of today.

While one of us is Australian through and through, the other is from Ireland. Back home, Joe used to feed whole, raw food to his dogs that he would hunt ethically himself. From his Dogue de Bordeax, Kudo, to his amazing Boxer, Ruby and finally his Hunting Labrador, Zara, people would stop him everywhere to ask what he fed his dogs.

The recipe was simple: feeding them the way they would naturally eat, rather than dry kibble full of grains, fillers and preservatives that have been linked to health problems around the world.

Cue Darby O’Gill – our first American Bully (with an Irish name). Given we no longer had the time or opportunity to hunt and source our pup’s food, we started hunting for a raw food provider who matched our need for convenience and passion for raw, whole food. What we found were one or two providers, but none of whom ticked all the boxes.

And CDK9 Raw was born.
